The story...

In the beginning of the 90ies three young people from hus started to play pop music, influenced by indiepop and mainly bands from the legendary record company Sarah Records from Bristol. Sarah Records was a company with lot of spirit that put many singles on the market. All the singles had in common that they were very "English" and "kind". The company didn’t get a lot of attention when it still was in business but afterwards it obtained a lot of respect and became important to a rather great amount of people. They listened to their records and all over the world bands and companies, interested in Sarah Records concept, were established.

In 1992 Acid House Kings recorded a demo which they sent to a "sarah-influenced", German company. The company called March-Marigold liked the songs and released them on a single. This was the beginning of a co-operation that came to include many groups from hus. As the members of Acid House Kings moved to different parts of Sweden, many new groups, which sprung from hus, were established.

During the last years the hus-stage has become a concept especially in USA. The hus-stage refers to the many bands from hus that plays music with a similar sound.

1998 the flagship of the hus-stage, Acid House Kings, started a record company called the Summersound Recordings. The company has released a collection with a group from Stockholm called the Happydeadmen. During the summer 1999 the company will release another collection with many bands from hus. The collection will be called "The sound of young Sweden".
