Sunshine boys
While recording the disco track "The Boy Still Dreams", Acid House Kings had some spare time while Jan Gayen was
fooling around with the synthesizers. They found an enormous Marshall stack, parts of a
drumset and drumsticks. This called for rock. Joakim turned the volume and the distortion
up and played guitar, Johan used two drums standing up, just like Bobby Gillespie used to
do, and Niklas picked up the bass and started singing. They played a couple of old songs
they had never recorded and thought they sounded cooler than they ever had before. The
songs were recorded and mixed in fifteen minutes and later Marsh-Marigold offered to
release the songs as a flexi.
For reasons beyond the bands knowledge this flexi never came out.
